Surface Meteorology

A multi-sensor weather instrument is permanently installed at the BCO and has been collecting data since December 2010.

It provides 6 of the most important weather parameters: air pressure, temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and direction on approx. 4 m AGL. The data is recorded every 10 seconds (10s mean values from 1s values).

The data is available as BCO.surfacemet_wxt_v1 in the catalog.

We also provide data starting 2015-01-14 through 2025 from an identical sensor attached to the Raman lidars at the BCO, available as BCO.surfacemet_wxt_lidar_v1 in the catalog.
